  • Synthesis and chemical doping of nanomaterials
  • Molecular mechanisms of intracellular signal transduction through redox cysteine residue modifications: the role of iron ions
  • Oxidative stress, S-Glutathionylation
  • Development of advanced biomaterials based on chitosan, for surgical applications / regenerative medicine
  • Radiobiology and cytogenetics (chromosomal abnormalities post irradiation using ionizing radiation) and personalized radiotherapy based on patient specific radiosensitivity index estimation
  • Dosimetry in Nuclear Medicine (palliative treatment for skeletal metastasis, liver cancer, myocardium stress/rest tests, differentiation and grading of Essential Tremor and Parkinsonism), Monte Carlo simulations, Image Reconstruction

My research activity is focused on biomedical issues, related to cancer. Medical physics, nanotechnology, radiobiology and material science are an important part of my research interests.
